Arabic Language

This course is designed to teach the language of Arabic to students. Through this course, students will be able to read, understand and write Arabic. The course content involves Arabic Grammar and Arabic conversation, which have been made very easy by the Darul Uloom for non-Arabic speaking students. This course is available free of charge to the entire public both males and females.

Recitation of the Holy Quraan

This course is designed to help students read the Holy Quraan in the best manner. Along with the training in recitation, the laws of Tajweed are also taught. Students can advance themselves in this course to become Qaaris also.

This course is available free of charge to the entire public (both males and females) and is geared for students from the Qaida level and beyond.

Al Fadhil Associate Degree in lslaamic Studies

This is an Associate Degree programme, which is offered at Darul Uloom Trinidad and Tobago. It is an extensive course in higher lslaamic Studies (such as Tafseer, Hadith, lslaamic Law) culminating in an Associate degree in lslaamic Studies called the Al Fadhil Associate Degree. This course has been revised and re-designed to cater for those students who wish to enroll but have no knowledge of the Arabic Language. As such, students who have no knowledge of the Arabic Language can now enroll for this course from the new school term in September 2009.

Qaari Course

Those who can recite the Quraan fluently and are interested in becoming Qaaris can enroll in this course. Classes will be conducted on Saturdays by one of our leading Qaaris who has mastered the ten different renditions of the Holy Quraan.

A Concise Commentary Course of the Holy Quraan

This is a part-time course which began in September 2001 and continues until present. It is a very interesting and appealing course which is a must for everyone. The meaning and message of all the chapters of the Holy Quraan will be covered. The course continues from September 2009 and all are invited to join.

NOTE: The part-time courses are free of charge. Enrollment for these courses must be done before Friday 29th August 2009. Enrollment for the full-time courses begins on Monday 6th July 2009 and will continue until Friday 7th August 2009. Enrollment for all part-time and full-time courses will be done at the Darul Uloom (Boys’) College between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

FULL TIME COURSES

Five (5) Year Secondary Education and Islamic Intermediate Course

This course provides a comprehensive secondary secular programme for students while giving them the invaluable knowledge of Islam. It is offered at the Boys’ and Girls’ Colleges to students who have been successful in the S.E.A. Examinations.

Eight (8) Year AaIim Course

After successfully completing the 5-year secondary course, students can continue for an additional 3 years to qualify as an A’alim (lslaamic scholar). This course is offered at both Colleges.

Five (5) Year Aalim course

This is another course which is offered at the Darul Uloom. It is designed for students who have successfully completed their academic studies at another school and wish to do only lslaamic studies at the Darul Uloom. This course is offered at both Boys’ and Girls’ Colleges.

Hifz Course - Memorization of the entire Holy Quraan

This course is available at the both colleges of the Darul Uloom for students who wish to memorize the entire Quraan. Included in this course are three subjects, English, Mathematics and lslaamic Knowledge.
