Moon Sighting Update

RABII'UL AWWAL 1431 A.H.
First Night: Night of Monday 15th February, 2010
First Day: Day of Tuesday 16th February, 2010
SAFAR 1431 (AH) - Last Month

The Month of Safar completed 30 days since the moon to commence the month of Rabii'ul Awwal was not confirmed as being sighted after the sunset of the 29th day.


RABII'UL AAKHIR 1431 (AH) - Next Month

The 29th of Rabii'ul Awwal is Tuesday 16th March, 2010.
Sighting should be done after sunset of this day.

The new moon (crescent) will be born on Monday 15th March, 2010 at 5:01 pm. Sunset on Tuesday 16th March, 2010 will be at 6:20 pm. At sunset of this day, the moon will be about 25 hours 19 minutes old and Muslims are reminded to look for the crescent to commence the month of Rabii'ul Aakhir 1431 AH.
