First Night: Night of Wednesday 11th August, 2010 First Day: Day of Thursday 12th August, 2010 I'tikaaf begins (before sunset of): Tuesday 31st August, 2010 Last Odd Nights of Ramadaan: 21st Night: Night of Tuesday 31st August, 2010 23rd Night: Night of Thursday 2nd September, 2010 25th Night: Night of Saturday 4th September, 2010 27th Night: Night of Monday 6th September, 2010 29th Night: Night of Wednesday 8th September, 2010 Nisaab of Zakaah: $3,380.00 Sadaqatul Fitr: $15.00 Fidyah: $15.00 SHA'BAAN 1431 (AH) - Last Month The Month of Sha'baan completed 30 days since the moon to commence the month of Ramadaan was not confirmed as being sighted locally and regionally after the sunset of the 29th day. SHAWWAAL 1431 (AH) - EID UL FITR - Next Month The 29th of Ramadaan is Thursday 9th September, 2010. Sighting should be done after sunset of this day. The new moon (crescent) will be born on Wednesday 8th September, 2010 at 6:30 am. Sunset on Thursday 9th September, 2010 will be at 6:13 pm. At sunset of this day, the moon will be about 35 hours 47 minutes old and Muslims are reminded to look for the crescent to commence the month of Shawwaal 1431 AH. If the moon is sighted then Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated on Friday 10th September, 2010. If the moon is not sighted then Ramadaan will complete 30 days and Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday 11th September, 2010.
