Since the initial stages of the Institute in 1984, Darul Uloom has kept a very low school fee in order to allow students an opportunity to study at the school. However, over the years it has become extremely difficult for the Darul Uloom to meet its financial expenditures in providing for all our students at both colleges with such a humble fee. In an effort to overcome this problem, the Administrative Committee has decided to make a slight adjustment to the school fee so that the Institute can continue to provide quality education as well as good facilities for all our students.

The new school fees will be effective from September 2003 and are: -
  • $650.00 per term for Non-Boarding Students.
  • $1,350.00 per term for Boarding Students.
  • $2,000.00 per term for Foreign Students.

All school fees must be paid at the beginning of the term and are non-refundable. In cases of difficulties a concession may be given to pay on a monthly basis, however it must be paid at the beginning of the month. Foreigners must ensure expenses such as the following are catered for:

  • Books
  • Immigration expenses
  • Medical examination (X-ray and other medical tests)
  • One-year open return ticket

NOTE: Annual Jalsah is considered a school day.

Requirements for a foreign student after acceptance:
  1. Student must travel on a one-year open ticket.
  2. Student must come with money for the following:

    X-RAY: $21.00 US

    MEDICAL: $21.00 US

    STUDENT VISA: $60.00 US

    BOOKS: $150.00 US

    CUPBOARD: $100.00 US
  3. Student must provide their own personal items such as mattresses, sheets, blankets, soap, etc.
  4. Student must come with money to cover personal necessities and medical illness.
  5. Student under 18 years old must walk with a consent letter from their parents, allowing them to study. It must be stamped by a Lawyer, etc.
  6. Any other requirements will be provided later.
